We’ve definitely never had it so good when it comes to trail/enduro forks, but at the same time it has to be said that some of the prices are getting a bit silly. Not everyone has a grand to splash out on a set, and I’m sure even those that do have that kind of money lying around would rather spend less if they could. So, on that note we are quite excited about the prospect of trying out these new Manitou Mattoc Pro forks as we’ve heard great things about them from some reliable sources, and crucially the £649.99 price tag is far more sensible than some of the competition.
They will be available to fit either 26 or 27.5” wheels and the travel can internally be adjusted from 140mm to 160mm for the larger wheel size, or right the way up to 170mm if you’re running 26” wheels. It’s a super simple thing to do too.
Finish wise they definitely look the part and Manitou have managed to come up with what seems like a nice take on the QR bolt-thru axle. We should have a pair to test out soon and if they live up to our expectations then these could well turn out to be a great buy.
