First Up First Down: Steve Peat in the Scottish Highlands

The great thing about Scotland is the friendly locals…

With winter losing it’s grip on us then it’s about time to head for the hills and mix it up on some new trails, Scotland is known for being wild to say the least and it definitely looks that way here.

This video and a bunch of photos have just been beamed into the Dirt in tray from a trip Peaty took riding in the Scottish Highlands, getting to the top of them there hills in a fancy Volvo. If this doesn’t make you want to go a mission north then we don’t know what will!

Let’s be honest, a wheelie never gets old.

If you didn’t already know, Peaty honed his race craft in Scotland, travelling up to race and practice at Innerleithen and the other Scottish track was pretty much a weekly pilgrimage from Sheffield.

A bit like Where’s Wally but with Peaty, he is in there honest.

With so many people winding up in trail centres each weekend it’s worth thinking about branching out a little further and taking on a wild mission into the hills. Plenty of food and a bit of planning can go a long way, the hills are calling so listen!

Endless trails away from the crowded trail centres, so what are you waiting for?
