Trans Provence Teaser.

At the end of September the Trans Provence race starts, covering 24 special stages in a week of racing that sees 72 riders from all over the world compete across High Provence and the Maritime Alps.

The story of the top 20 Enduro athlete’s from around the world as well as the rest of the field will be broadcast daily online and we will bring you all the updates right here on the Dirt site.

Here is a teaser video of what to expect from the race:

We’ve just had word through from the guys at Trans Provence that the race will be supported by Santa Cruz Bikes this year as well as long standing sponsors Mavic, Fox Suspension and Mojo.

Looking at last year’s top 20 riders there are some of big names in this year’d Enduro World Series in there. Nico Lau took the win his namesake and fellow Frenchman Nico Vouilloz in 2nd with EWS series leader Jerome Clementz in 3rd.

Vouilloz fractured his scaphoid at the recent Enduro in Whistler and we are not sure if he will make it back for this race, other contenders in the top ranks are fit and ready to contend this mammoth event. Chris Ball, Enduro World Series director put in a not too shabby time that landed him 21st position in 2012. He and a big crop of pro riders will be back to challenge the stages across France on the 28th of September, the question is, who has the power to make it stick for this epic adventure of a race?
