We spend a heck of a lot of time riding in mixed conditions, especially here in the UK. From steep, well worn enduro and DH tracks to hand cut local forest trails we’ve found the Schwalbe Magic Mary has quickly risen to the top of the list as a truly confidence inspiring choice, especially on pro downhill bikes such as Stevie Smith’s Devinci Wilson.
As with many of Schwalbe’s tyres this rubber comes in a whole heap of variations with all three wheel sizes being catered for, in TrailStar or VertStar triple compounds and in folding or wire bead. The VertStar heavier duty wire bead model is the one that will interest most downhill riders and is proven on the World Cup circuit.
With a high volume, aggressive tread and great edge, this tyre almost puts the traditional 50/50 tyre out of business. Great run front and rear for DH, available in 2.35” or 2.5” widths with a double skin carcass and snakebite protection.
