One of the few downhill bikes we have ever ridden that requires no changes straight out of the box. And clearly is a hugely important aspect given its a bike that arrives through direct sales channel rather than conventional bike shop route. After a week testing in Pila, Italy this summer the bike remained unchanged for over a week even with five different riders. What this says is that YT have got it right and that buyers should have no set-up issues demanding anything more than a pump and a set of allen keys.
“The YT is easy to work on, the build quality is good and, well it looks incredible. It ticks pretty much all the right boxes”
For 2016 the Bos suspension front and rear has been replaced with Fox. Whilst this is a shame in some ways at least YT fans are now getting the very best downhill fork of 2016. Previously the Bos suspended bike needed time investing to get the very best out of it but the same applies with Fox, especially that rear damper, however when you hit the sweet spot it’s a good place to be. And as mentioned the 40 from Fox is the best ever.
