Bikes however are not cheap, and a machine capable of multi-day alpine attacks or enduro events is going to need looking after en route to your destination. Bike Travel 2.0 is how Evoc describe this bag; lighter yet sturdier and with some added improvements to the handles making this even easier to unload and drag through the airport terminal. It has been awarded a Red Dot design award earlier in 2015.
So what makes this bag so good? The construction is top notch from this German company, and no compromises are made. The solid molded undercarriage has full-length metal sliders with two reliable skate wheels (with a third clip on wheel if needed). This provides a super stable base with less chance of toppling over. The wheel pockets (any size 26” to 29”) have added protection for disc rotors and are positioned at the rear for better balance when pulling the bag. The really unique feature is the removable tubular aluminium support frame. This holds your bike by the front axle and lets you easily pack your bike inside the bag. The bag itself is padded, with extra impact protection in vulnerable areas and glass-fibre supports rods. The zips, handles and fittings are all built to go the distance.
