Enduro Gear Review 2011

ADJUSTABLE SEATS

A couple of years ago several companies would be fighting for the top choice of adjustable seatposts, the Gravity Dropper and Crank Bros being just two of them. Up until recently we thought – and still do – that the KS with under seat adjust offers simplicity, performance and a good price. That has since been totally overwhelmed by the RockShox Reverb which stands as the neatest, cleanest, lightest and most reliable seat adjusting device you can buy. The lever actuation is simply brilliant and is available for left and right and Avid’s Match Maker system. Being hydraulic it takes a bit of setting up but then its done and dusted. The seat can be adjusted to whatever height you need in an instant offering up to 125mm of travel. Clean, and way and above the best the you can currently buy.

CUSTOM TWEAKS (Not Pictured)

Off set shock bushes allow you to custom tune your bike’s geometry to cater for things such as a longer fork or drop the bottom bracket. It’s a specialist business, so like shock tuning you’ll need to know exactly what you are looking for. We used Dublin based engineer and elite racer Kevin Coughlan to make some changes to a Lapierre Zesty.

Prices from €20. Email: [email protected] Tel: +353 85 133 1104

Head angle changes are now made possible with Cane Creek or K9 industries.
