Like the Bontrager’s the Storm’s come in two different casings, again it’s a case of running the thinner S–Works up front and thicker Control on rear to get through the tough stuff. A beautiful bit of rubber this, handles the transition between wet and dry conditions frequently encountered on the trail exceptionally well. Fast rolling with a superb profile, the Storm is the lightest on test for its size. The Storm Control and lighter Storm S–Works can also be used in the dry conditions, in fact like the Mud X it is suitable for all–year–round riding, although it would be better to save the rubber for when it matters. Again for trail centre winter riding where you get some extra natural sections the Storm is a total ruler.
