Orange Alpine Six

The Orange Alpine is one of our all-time favourites and it just got better for 2017. Small changes to the bottom bracket height and head angle make it more balanced and a better cornerer.

Yes, all the up dates are in place with the standard mountain bike spin of lower, longer, faster, lighter but of major importance here for Orange is that it’s curvier than ever – no longer looking like the entrance to a sheep pen.

Cotic Rocket

From a brand that was previously best known for its hardcore hardtails, Cotic now has an impressive range of four full suspension bikes too. If you’re a serious enduro racer then stick to the Rocket that has taken James Swinden to PMBA glory.

It uses Cotic’s Droplink system to control it’s 150mm of travel with a swaggering attitude. And who can resist those gorgeous, straight, steel tubes.

Vitus Sommet

Offering direct sale value, Vitus’ Sommet is a fully sorted enduro bike for under £2,000. Actually, better than that, it’s under £1,800. This is nigh-on unbeatable value, not something you’d always expect from a British brand!

Nukeproof Mega

Under Sam Hill, this bike has picked up EWS wins and has never finished outside the top 10 at any race. It’s available in 29 or 27.5 versions and this year’s updates have made it more honed than ever.

Nukeproof finishing kit is also upgraded to includes their well shaped wide Carbon bars and Vector AM saddle. This bike is indeed ready to race.

Whyte G-160

Once just known for making pretty hardtails, Whyte now has a full fleet of of full sussers. The G-160 has 10mm travel extra this year and its top tube has ballooned. This makes it one of the longest enduro bikes around but we think it fits to a tee.
