The seven sexiest enduro mountain bikes

Alluring all-mountain machines

If you want a sexy enduro mountain bike to be the envy of all your mates then you’ve come to the right place.

We’re not sure what makes two triangles of metal (or plastic) can be so appealing, but there’s no doubt when a curvaceous beauty is rolled around a car park everyone stops for a cheeky look.

Here are seven of the sexiest enduro mountain bikes guaranteed to draw some stares:

Chemical Adrenal

Most young brands start with an engineer with a real understanding of the mechanics of bikes but Derbyshire’s Dan Lewis also brought his design and marketing design and marketing nouse to the table – probably why his Chemical Adrenal looks so damn good. With a range of colours but only 20 made, they have a boutiquey air too.

It’s not all smoke and mirrors though. Its numbers are close a Capra and it really moves too. We can’t wait to see what else is in the pipeline from Dan.

Spot Rollik

The Spot Rollik makes it in for one reason – that carbon weave. The chequered pattern is unlike anything we’ve seen before and it gives this bike an unmistakable signature. This bike, designed by Avid’s founder Wayne Lumpkin, has us squealing for joy.

It also features the unique Living Link suspension design that uses a Leaf Spring to apparently increase mid range responsiveness, promotes vertical flex and prevents lateral flex. We’ve no idea if it works, but it’s novel never the less. Read a bit more about it here.

Alchemy Arktos

Pink, blue, black, yellow and gold all on one bike shouldn’t work, but on the carbon Arktos it’s stunning. Alchemy work with the raw material in house, cutting and laying up their own moulds, so they are in total control of the whole manufacturing process.

The Arktos was Alchemy’s first full-suss effort and we think they’ve hit the nail on the head. The Sine Suspension leverage curve may seem at odds with the rest of the industry but it has been awarded Best Mountain Bike prizes in the past. Now available here in the UK through distributors saddleback.co.uk who also supply Intense cycles and Enve components.

Yeti SB 6C

If there’s nothing sexier than success, then the Yeti SB6C could give Helen of Troy a run for her money. Under Jared Graves and then Richie Rude, this bike has delivered more men’s Enduro World Series wins than any other.

Like most Yeti’s, it’s a looker in its own right and lighter than a sparrow’s feather. You can’t beat that signature turquoise either.

Evil Wreckoning

We love how Evil’s bikes look like nothing else out there and, right now, they probably have the most visually pleasing range on the market. Low slung frames and curvaceous tubes of plastic combine to form true works of art.

The Wreckoning is the longest travel offering from Evil and, if it’s anything like the Insurgent we tested in June, it will be an absolute party to ride.

Pivot Firebird

We’re not sure if you can class this 170mm monster as an enduro bike but if it goes up hills then down them then it’s good enough for us. Pivot’s impeccable finishing has been applied to a svelte frame to produce a bike that’s almost too nice to get muddy.

When it’s put in the hands of someone as stylish as Bernard Kerr this becomes a very special bike indeed.

Unno

Unno bikes don’t come cheap, but this is a bike that has the looks to justify the price. The raw carbon finish is breath taking and with Cesar Rojo legendary approach to design you can guarantee it will be a ripper.

We visited the Unno factory earlier this year and we can assure you, these are some of the best made bikes on the planet.
