You might not be convinced that 29” wheels are the best for trail bikes. It is a big mindset shift and hell you can still have so much fun on the 27.5” wheels. When we visited Vitus a few months back we were convinced there was no place for the 135mm Escarpe when their 155mm Sommet was similar in weight and specification. But we rode the shorter travel bike and were instantly hooked on its impressive angles and suspension system. A lively trail bike for tackling pretty substantial terrain, with a sub-30lb build and a specification of bikes more than double its price. Vitus have made a big statement with this one.
