A classic by which all modern day full-face helmets are measured. The Troy Lee D2 has been around forever, and rightly so. Sporting a superb mix of low weight (even in its composite guise), great looks, sizing, visibility and did we mention looks? Steve Peat and Shaun Palmer made the Troy Lee D2 the helmet to be seen wearing and was the epitome of cool from day one for that reason. Troy Lee’s fit has been legendary from the outset and despite only offering three sizes, these covered the majority of heads, and the padding options supplied with the helmet made getting the fit right a breeze. Over the years, Troy Lee offered so many different varieties of colour and paint options, the difficult part was deciding which one would match your bike and kit the best. Neither shell material options were cheap, but just like its younger sibling, the D3, a class-leading helmet like is never likely to be. Even the composite option offered much lower weight than its early rivals, ensuring it found its way quickly to the top of the pecking order. Only in recent years has the D2 come under pressure from the competition, but we still love it.
