POC introduced the Flow version of their popular Cortex DH helmet to allow for better all-day riding without sacrificing too much protection, and to put the price tag into more peoples’ budgets. The lighter weight is achieved by way of an Aramid liner inside the shell that allowed POC to decrease the thickness of the original MIPS outer. A great deal more venting has gone into the Flow as well, making it ideal for those who want a lighter weight lid, or those who are going to do more pedalling than uplifts. The unique, bold styling remains, and it’s hard to not like the look of the POC lids. With only three sizes available, it’s fairly important to try before you by, but supplied cheek pads should allow you to fine tune the fit if needs be. The ear pockets are a nice touch, ensuring you’re not going to rip them off trying to fit the helmet and assisting hearing and balance as well. The adjustable peak is held in place by two nice-looking machined thumbscrews and finish off the clean look of the Flow. Whether you’re after a full-face to ride all day in, or just a lighter DH helmet, the Flow has to be up there.
