After a decade of heavy grooming the V10 has gained a certain elegance about it, OK it’s still driven by a raucous bunch of headbangers and…well…see the Syndicate (Minnaar, Peat and Bryceland). Obviously they try to be sophisticated too, but somehow from that mixing of grace and danger (within and around both the bike and the team) a very definite synchronization has evolved.
From its multi–part beginning, the old dog has smartened up a fair bit over the course of the decade, and with that slightly out of shape ‘Duke of the High Wharncliffe Forest’ still pulling podiums, the cleaned up V10 has a lot to answer for. There’s an undeniable connection between this bike and results.
Does heritage count? Who gives a shit, but then this is no ordinary downhill bike.>>
