A rough old coyote slips through the skinless knuckles of the red Sedona outcrop, glancing, shimmying close to a group of riders talking about pieces of bike and slugging some blood red spirit in this global power spot.
Cowboy country, a site of the metaphysical, huge landscapes, a place to ‘get the issues out of your tissues’ as it says on the entrance of one of the many spiritual and personal enrichment spas. Scale and colour are what this riding spot north of Phoenix are all about. I was here to ride Santa Cruz’s new ‘flagship of flagships’ the Tallboy LTc, but having ferried the flu across the pond I feel like a sack of shit. >>
