Fork and headtube standards have changed massively over the last few years, but Hope has always been there with a top quality headset to fit almost every frame. Gone are the days of a standard inch-and-one-eighth external bearing headset being the standard choice. Most workshops now have a chart of all the lower and upper bearings and cups needed to fit your headtube; tapered, straight, 44mm, integrated, integral? It can all get very confusing.
“Hope’s stainless steel sealed bearings and accurate manufacturing tolerances give great wet weather performance and as long life as many brands costing twice the price”
Hope’s British made products need little or no introduction to most mountain bikers. Their products are designed, developed and lovingly produced here in the north of England and although not the cheapest, offer true long-term value through longevity and great spares back up; a good choice of colours too. Hope’s stainless steel sealed bearings and accurate manufacturing tolerances give great wet weather performance and as long a life as many brands costing twice the price. But maybe they should with lunatics like Adam Brayton on the books.
