This may well be one of the cheaper offerings from Race Face but that doesn’t stop it from being a great bit of kit. The forged design gives plenty of strength and the interlocking U–shaped bar clamp is very bar friendly.

Its unique horizontally split design might be a bit more of a faff to fit but it has allowed Rental to produce a stem with an incredible strength to weight ratio. Keeping the bar clamp away from the underside is also good for bars.

This might well be one of the most expensive stems here but it’s arguably the finest in terms of finish. The flush mount bar clamp is class too and the whole thing is as strong as an Ox. Throw in a load of colours and everyone’s more than happy.

This stem might have been designed with the DH duties of the Atherton’s in mind but its weight still makes it more than viable for trail use and you won’t ever be left wondering if it’s going to let you down
