Sam’s World Episode One | South Africa

Sam’s world

What do you get when you send Sam Reynolds and Sam Pilgrim to South Africa and let them decide what they want to do? Shark feeding, bike riding, and hunting lions in drift cars of course! Well maybe that last one isn’t true but whatever they got up to it looked like a hell of a lot of fun!

Joining them in South Africa for the first episode was Andrew and Jonty Neethling and Brendan Fairclough. The boys hit their dirt jumps before heading over to the Night Harvest comp and throwing everything from flat as a pancake tables to superman flips. It was a packed crowd for the contest and has got to be one of the best looking dirt jump setups we have ever seen, the beers were flowing and the BBQ’s flaming long into the night.

After a half attempt at doing some downhill riding the boys decided hitting the beach and having a bash at surfing would be a good idea, it seems they weren’t bad either with Pilgrim riding a few waves and Reynolds standing up and getting the feel (ish). After a quick trip up Table Mountain where the boys give us some factually accurate information from the summit they head off to some more jumps and axe throwing…

With some sand dunes close at hand there’s only one thing for it, moto! Packing up the huge Monster pickup they head out to the dust and get all Ronnie Renner! After belting round the desert for a few hours the sun sets on this epic trip and the boys reflect on what Reynolds calls the best trip ever.

Check out the gallery from the trip here and we will be bringing you the rest of the series as it comes out.

Here’s the word from Monster:

‘IT’S NO BODY ELSE’S WORLD, IT’S SAM’S WORLD’

Sam Pilgrim and Sam Reynolds are equally incredible riders in their own right with more Podiums’ than
we can count but there is more to these two riders than the FMB World Tour.

Follow Sam and Sam as they travel to South Africa, California and we take an Insight in to life back home in the UK.

Episode 1 – South Africa

Ever wondered what happens when you take two of the best riders in FMB and ship them off to Cape Town for 2 weeks with the
plan being to cause havoc and have the best time ever? Well welcome to Sam’s World: South Africa.

Joined along the way by Brendan Fairclough and Locals Andrew and Jonty Neethling, the Sam’s made Africa ‘Sam’s World’ for 2
weeks of party’s, trails, Downhill, MX, Surfing, questionable sight seeing, Shark cage diving, the Night Harvest and much much more.

Reynolds – ‘ South Africa doesn’t always have the best stuff said about it in the media does it, so me and Sam didn’t really know
what to expect – It turns out to be one of the best places we have ever been’

With so much on offer in Cape Town, Riding took a back seat in return for MX in the dunes and Surfing with local pro Matt Bromley
but the guys could not be held back from riding their favorite spot ‘Potato trails’

Pilgrim – ‘ Its probably one of the coolest jumps spots I have ever been to, Epic views over the mountains, its rad and I’m just super
glad we came here.

Follow the Sam’s on their epic adventure into Africa as they tear up everything in their path and bring you in sight into ‘Sam’s World’

Reynolds – ‘This was probably the best trip we have ever been on’

Pilgrim – ‘ A massive shout out to all the locals and the riders of Cape Town that invited us to their spots and showed us an
awesome time’
Reynolds – ‘ We will be back for sure next year – thanks to Jonty and Needles and all the Potato trails locals’
