All change for Scott Velosolutions this year. First Bos came on board, followed by a raft of Upgrade backed sponsors and now it looks like there’s a new bike in the mix too.
We know Olivier Bossard is going to be playing a big role in the team for the next year, there’s a very good chance he’ll be back behind his laptop masterminding the team’s set up at World Cup rounds. Bossard used to play a huge role in designing the Sunn and V-Process machines so we’d be interested to know how much he’s had an input into the latest Scott design too.
The bike broke cover at a Portugal Cup race in Lousa this weekend and we’ve got a video of it in action here. There’s not much to tell other than a total overhaul of linkage system from the Gambler’s former brutalist design to a more conventional four bar rocker. It also looks like Scott are sticking with 27.5 inch wheels for now. Check it out in the video at 1:27, 1:33 and 5:15.
Will this bike be raced at World Cups later this year? Well other pictures we’ve seen make it look more like a testing rig than anything but it’s certainly a clue that something new is on the way. Hopefully the bike will be on show at the British National in two weeks time and we can have a proper kick of they tyres and sniff around.
