Shinshu ‘Shinny’ Tanaka has just beamed me over a few spy shots of the K9 pre-production DH001-S downhill mountain bike.

So who are K-9?
K-9 was started by Luis Arraiz, in a secret location in Oxford. There’s a whole team of perfection orientated boffins behind the bike which has been in development for over 3 years.
Perfection really is the theme behind the bike though, and with a whole new patent for the linkage, and more shock data logging than you could shake a stick at, the bike really is something special.

The lower and upper linkages are machined out solid billet of 7075 T6 aluminium for added strength and stiffness.

Here is the close up of the L.A. Link and its efficient packaging of the rear suspension. The vibrant red idler roller is the heart of the L.A link.
