THE MOREWOOD ACADEMY DH RACE TEAM
Morewood and a couple of other select partners have decided to put together a new ‘pay for your ride’ downhill race team for the 2014 season. What does ‘pay for your ride’ mean? Well obviously it means that it doesn’t come free, but in return for your money you get a great deal on a bike and race kit, and the kind of race support that’s normally only reserved for pro riders. It’s open to anyone too, so if you’re in the market for a new bike and are planning on racing the British Downhill Series in 2014 then this offer is a hard one to turn down.
There are two different deals on offer; the Privateer and the DH Team, but both make use of frames and components that we rate highly. Aside from getting you on a great race bike the focus of the team is to provide the best racing support package. The team aims to offer the riders a set up as good as any pro in the pits allowing the selected riders to focus on achieving their best personal results.
Alongside the great bikes and O’Neal race kit the team will also provide pre-season set-up and coaching advice together within pre-race and race day guidance, support and advice. This allows the rider to concentrate and put all his (or her) energy into racing and not worry about the ‘stuff’. Just like the pros!
Team Partners include Burgtec, Csixx, O’Neal, J-Tech, Fenwicks and Continental, and because so many companies are onboard the team can offer riders savings of well over £1000. And that’s before you factor in all the help you get!
