The original Thomson Elite stem was such a classic that we doubted it could ever be beaten, but then the very same company went and did it with this X4. Of course there are a load of other stems that we love, like the Point1 and Renthal, but when push comes to shove this is the one that we’d all choose.

For starters it just looks beautiful, but that beauty also turns out to be the result of superb engineering, which produces one of the lightest and strongest 50mm stems around.
