We’re not surprised that e*thirteen haven’t changed the LG1+ for 2011 because it’s difficult to think of a single way in which they could improve upon it. It really is as close to perfection as we think a chain device can get. We’ve never had one let us down in terms of chain loss, and the bash plate has proved it can withstand brutal impacts. There are several other chain devices that can also fulfill those criteria but where the LG1+ really excels is in its user friendliness. All the subtle design details mean that it’s a joy to work on and thanks to the range of adjustments on offer it also fits a massive range of frame designs. The fact that it also happens to be one of the lightest systems is just the icing on the cake.
