We didn’t think anything could beat our long term favourite e*thirteen chainrings, but then along came Renthal with all their years of experience at making the finest motorbike sprockets and surprise, surprise, they did it. To be fair it’s a close run thing, but we’ve just found that the Renthal rings are a little stronger and longer lasting despite still being just as insanely light. Of course the fact that they’re made right here in the UK also helps tips the scales a little, but even without the patriotism these still take the chainring of choice title.
