There is much confusion at the minute. Many riders seem to think they want or need an enduro-style bike for riding ‘singletrack with a dash of tech’ and the odd trip to the Alps. In fact the bike they really need is a hard-hitting trail bike with a brawny fork up front. The trouble is few exist. Except that is for the Carbine. Boasting the bigger 29” wheelsize offering increased grip for those dark and often wet October to April days and designed with a 160mm fork in mind, the Intense is a truly great trail all-rounder with so much potential for enduro too. For 2015 the Carbine has muscled up in the swingarm area yet maintained its lightweight with classy finish and great angles. Intense will also be doing complete bikes from this season on.
