SRAM and Troy Lee Designs team up to launch a range of Truvativ handlebars with an added dose of style. Matching rockshox fork and shock graphics finish the look off…
Since the 1980s, the creative minds at Troy Lee Designs have been making the World’s Fastest Racers look and feel even faster – which is saying a lot, since every TLD athlete is already quick enough.
With race-driven art, TLD proved the concept that 9th place combined with style is sometimes better than 3rd place and boring. And that is exciting to SRAM, since their belief is that the story of every ride is more powerful than any collection of spreadsheet stats. Here they’ve teamed up with Troy Lee Designs and added a dose of this brand’s style to their Truvativ Descendent handlebars, in both aluminium and carbon. To finish it off, and to tie it all up nicely with their range of RockShox suspension, the bars are packaged up with a sheet of matching fork and shock graphics.
There are two bars, one DH spec in aluminium (£94.99), and one narrower (750mm) carbon ‘enduro’ bar (£189.99). The sticker set matches the colour of the bars, with the enduro bar in red/carbon/black and the DH bar in blue/yellow or red/black.
We’ve got the wider DH bar in blue and yellow and have mounted it to a suitably coloured bike. OK, it’s not a downhill bike, but you know… it’s one that complements the looks, and runs well with a bar of this width.
TLD/TRUVATIV COLAB ALUMINIUM DH BAR:
This new bar uses the championship-winning Truvativ Descendent design and is built in collaboration with, and featuring the creativity of, Troy Lee Designs. Artistic flair on a proven and purposeful piece of hardware. Stiff, precise and wide, these bars use the Truvativ Descendent shape and dimensions – which we like. They take feedback and input from SRAM’s DH and gravity riders. Below are the stats for this DH model.
