Topeak Turbo Morph G Pump

Make this the first item in your kitbag

There are not many items of bike kit that are still in action seven years on, but the Topeak Turbo Morph G Pump is on that list. It’s been a faithful companion, sitting in our chief bike tester’s pack year in year out, never missing a beat when called to action.

“Our Turbo Morph has been used and abused in all weathers by the Dirt test team and others and has yet to miss a beat, always ready for action”

Topeak make a broad choice of quality pumps, but this Turbo version from their Morph range is our pick; bang-on for year round mountain biking.

The Morph range is a little different from your average mini pump design. It’s a sturdy pump, around a foot long with a fold out footpad and flexible hose. Working like a mini version of a workshop floor pump and allows you to operate more efficiently and with less strain on the valve. The ergonomically designed ‘T’ shaped handle flips out giving you better control of the pump. The pressure gauge is a handy (but not essential) feature that unlike many is still working many years on.

The Turbo Morph’s body is aluminium and the overall construction is faultless. Our pump has been used and abused in all weathers, by the Dirt crew and others and has yet to miss a beat. In the modern world of improved tyre technology and tubeless set-ups, we hope to be puncturing less frequently, but get yourself a Turbo Morph and you are guaranteed to be equipped for the worst, getting you rolling again quicker than any pump we’ve tried.
