Rafa Alvarez qualified fastest with a 42.78 and looked on fine form all night. The surprise in the mix was Gracia who told me earlier he wouldn’t be racing due to the balloon like nature of his knee (sustained during a sideways slide up the cheese grater yesterday). Tschugg and Gracia collided in the final buckling the Frenchmans wheel, leaving him to limp home only pausing to crack open a beer on the last straight. Alvarez leads the four cross standings with Guido Tschugg second and Dan Atherton third.

Anneke Beerten looked like she was going to cruise through to the win as she qualified fastest. However an incendent on the corner before the whoops saw her slide off the track and out of contention. Buhl seized the opportunity to power through for the win.
Beerten and Buchanan were the only two girls to jump the last big doubles.

Beerten stays top of the overall standings with Buhl second and Suemasa third.

All in all not a bad nights racing at all from a course that 24hrs earlier looked in danger of being shut down.
