Got a call from Nige Page team manager of ChainReactionCycles/Intense telling us about the arrival of his first proto race frame.
The bike will be built up this week then team mechanic Dave Garland will be flying out to Nice to meet up with Julien Camellini to do some testing. Another frame will be shipped out to Australia in the next week for Chris Kovarik to test also.
Nige said it’s a pretty adjustable frame with 8.5 to 9.5 ” of travel, plus adjustable chainstay length and BB height with a frame weight of 9.2lb, so we should have a race bike to suit all the team riders this year.
They will be running the 9.5″ stroke Cane Creek DB shock for most of the season with the option of fitting a 10.5″ stroke shock for bigger tracks like Mt St Anne if the riders feel the need.
Stay tuned for pics of the full stickered up build plus the new CRC race kit.
