Downhill racing returned to the forest of Dean yesterday with the 661 Mini Downhill event.
Chris Roberts did a fine job organising the event which ran super smoothly.
The sun shone all day which was enough to take the edge off the frosty conditions and with the theme being “mini downhill” times were generally under the minute mark which meant you had to nail every section with no errors to get a quick time.
It was good to see a wide range of bikes and riders at the event, ranging from one lad on a 24″ jump bike kitted out with slick tyres and only a rear brake to Pro’s like Rowan Sorrell on a prototype 224.
Fastest man of the day Rowan Sorrell with a time of 48.677
