Final Battle of the FMB World Tour: Red Bull Rampage

With just one round to go Sam Pilgrim has taken the championship title after staying in top spot throughout the competition. As other riders are out with injury Sam will be crowned  the FMB World Champion at the Red Bull Rampage next month.

Brett Rheeder had a chance to take the title, but is unfortunately out with injury, he recently tweeted:

Heal up soon Brett!

The Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour has different categories over four levels – Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond. With riders of different skill levels competing in each

Diamond events are the most extreme in the FMB World Tour and are carried out at the highest competitive level of freeride mountain biking. The best professional athletes can prove themselves on challenging courses and in unique locations.

Gold events are high-class freeride mountain bike events that are highly challenging and suitable for professional athletes.

Silver events are top events with high demands for participants and are the point at which professional and amateur athletes meet on a competitive level.

Bronze events form the basis of the FMB World Tour and the entry level for amateurs into the competitive mountain bike events.

This year the tour also stopped off in Europe, as well as taking part in Mountain Bike events all over the World with some of the best riders competing for the title. There is one round left, Red Bull Rampage. For the last two years Brandon Semenuk had dominated the FMB Tour, but this year Pilgrim is going to take the crown. Rampage will be held on 13 October, and the winner of the FMB World Tour will take home the trophy as well as a cash prize.

The 2013 FMB World Tour has taken riders on one hell of a journey and it will all end in the massive finale in just over two weeks time!
