We popped into see Dan, Gee and Rachel Atherton the day before they were due to fly out to California and New Zealand for three months of training.
So instead of packing bikes, riding kit and suitcases we made them drink tea, eat cake and chat all afternoon.
Dan told us about his injury and plans to ride only DH this year, Gee had the worst case of flu I’ve seen and Rachel talks about her aim of staying injury free this year even if that means slowing down.
