Summer will be back!

Here she is! The latest issue of Dirt is here and we are pre-empting the summer with a banger of a cover featuring none other that Rampage superstar Cam Zink. Yeah we know the clocks have yet to change and it’s still wazzing it down at the weekend but the sun and dust will be back, honest, we hope, well maybe…

We have an in depth interview with Cam Zink, Ian Collins digs deep and gets into what makes Zink tick. Shot and discussed in the days running up to Rampage this is pre-backflip, pre-baby and pre-marriage proposal and definitely worth a read.

From American classics to modern day bikes Steve Jones takes a closer look at the two bikes we featured on the web last month. There is a lot of porn in Dirt, bike porn I mean. Yeah it’s cool to dream about rolling an £8K bike out of your van at the trail but do you need it? Will it make you have more fun or beat your mates? Jones takes a look at two bikes for around £1500 that could be what a lot of people are looking for.

Not just a place with a weird/funny name Bend in Oregon is a mecca for trail riding, Jones visited the trails and breweries of Bend to get a feel for the riding and a taste of their beer, he gets all the shit jobs…

After part one landed in issue #143 James McKnight and co pick up the story of the changing alpine riding environment. Bikes are changing and the locations we can take an everyday bike to are becoming, in essence, closer. We get the point of view of three alpine regulars as to what’s going on.
