This Weekend at the Races

This weekend saw a good few events go down at home and abroad, so we’ve decided to bring a little news and results gathering into place. If you’ve got any race news for us, send ‘er in and we’ll include it right here.

1: Masters of dirt lay it down in Vienna

Vienna’s annual Masters of Dirt event took place over the weekend, with some truly bonkers moves being thrown down. Is that a 360 quadruple tailwhip near the end?! The world has clearly gone bonkers.

2: Dude wins POC Scottish Enduro Series Round 1 in Fort William, Scotland

The dude in question is none other than Fort William local Joe Barnes, who was kept company on the podium by another of his Dudes of Hazzard crew, Fergus Lamb, who finished third. Sandwiched in-between the the baeys was Greg Callaghan, all the way from Ireland.

POC Scottish Enduro round 1 full results can be found at No Fuss Events.

3: Filip Polc wins Valparaiso Cerro Abajo downtown race

Track walk pre-faceplant.

If you haven’t seen Filip Polc’s ugly faceplant crash from practice in Valparaiso, Chile, then you should check it out before giving Polcster kudos for winning the biggest event on the urban DH scene. Polc beat a truly world class field, including Cam Cole and Mick Hannah, plus many more big names.

4: Troy Brosnan wins Australian MTB Series DH round 3

As in the title, Specialized’s Troy Brosnan took victory at the classic Aussie venue of Thredbo… by a whopping eight seconds!

Check out the full results here.

Nearly forgot to add our nearest and dearest! The mini DH at the Forest of Dean went down a storm – as always – with hundreds in attendance and a certain superstar in attendance… Tracy Moseley took the women’s category with a time that put here right up there in the overall rankings. Also, check out Charlie Hatton’s time in the youth category! One to watch right there.
