Crankworx 2013: Brandon Semenuk wins Joyride.

Dropping in on the first feature.

After rain threatened to postpone the Joyride, Brandon Semenuk smashed out a winning run to take the top spot at the biggest event going down so far at Crankworx.

Each rider had two runs with the best one counting towards their final score, the UK was represented by the two Sam’s. Pilgrim and Reynolds both landed some solid tricks on the massive course but it was Pilgrim who nailed the big stuff to take a podium position. He took third place with an amazing two runs that saw him place above some of the biggest names in slopestyle. Looking solid in practice he was the only rider other than Semenuk landing a backflip on the hut drop halfway down the course.

Martin Söderström looked like he had the event in the bag during his second run throwing tricks on every jump down the course. He got in a bar spin off a near vertical wall ride and triple whipped the a huge set of doubles high on the course. Unfortunately he went down on the last jump hard, the crash saw the medics straight over to him and he was stretchered off the track before the podiums could take place. Even with his crash he took 2nd place and we wish him a speedy recovery after coming down from a hue height.
