Hello t’internet just thought Id let you know the latest happenings in Fort william. The helicopter was here on Thursday I had about 40 drops planned and was told by the company that it would take about 4 and a half hours the pilot did it in 2 and a half. He was fast, scary fast. Theres me standing in the track with my hi-viz wife beater on hands in the air. Just watching him come booting up the hill so fast with a big metal skip with a ton of gravel in it thinking to myself hes never going to slow down in time. The old fight or flight starts to kick in. Then Donald pulls out his phone and starts to play the airwolf theme tune which was histerical when there is a chopper flying towards you. When its 20feet away you get hit by the down draft which is like a wall and because it was so dry and dusty that day it looked like a mini tornado. Great fun and because the pilot was so fast I got about 55 drops with each one just under a ton. So Friday and satarday was spent shoveling this stuff around and packing it in before it rained on Sunday.
So after that excitiment Id though id have a day off on Sunday. Guess what I did?! I went off in to the woods with my bike and a shovel and did some building A bit sad or passionate I can’t decide. Ive just roughed out the line so it still needs a bit of work but I think its got potential plenty of hill above it to extend. Having your own wee secret trail is great everyone should have one. If you don’t go build one now!
