Champery WC 4X build: Day 4.
Got onto the hill for 7am to start work in blazing sunshine!! So glad. We really need some good weather since the progress so far hadn’t been so great.
Walked up to the the first straight to discover I had been right to worry about the track washing down the hill during the heavy rain. About 200 cubic metres of soil and vegetation had slipped down the hill and onto our first straight! Bloody hell!!
Still, we pressed on with creating the layout for the track and got the line finished by the end of the day. So, the track will be 490m long and consist of 10 corners. The top is steep (not as steep as Schladming) with lots of tight turns until a jump over a small river. The bottom half is more open and flatter, with 3 long straights of 110m, 60m and 40m. Tomorrow we start building the jumps. Well, after we’ve moved the land slip, that is.
I want one of these. Awesome!!!!
