SANTA CRUZ BLUR TRC

Aside from the superb looks and smooth lines of this carbon framed Blur TRC, there are almost countless reasons that we have included it in our list this year. Fast is not the word, this bike is meteoric in its acceleration and we are yet to find its limit out on the trails.

As a 120mm travel bike it is in a category of its own, there is nothing else in existence that is anywhere near as aggressive, and when you start to smash turn after turn you begin to realise why we love the bike so much, as does anyone who has ever ridden one. We’d almost go as far as to say this is a scaled-down version of Santa Cruz’s V10 downhill bike, it entices you to ride faster and harder than perhaps you should be on the sort of trail-riding terrain its suspension travel is suited to.

If you’re forking out for the bike candy that this is then we’d recommend going all out and pimping it with high-end kit as the frame deserves to be treated well, especially when it is going to carry you at such speed!
