Royal Racing has been providing MTB-specific apparel for over a decade. With its headquarters in the Welsh city of Swansea, Royal Racing products are now distributed in over 30 countries around the world, and the company has opened a second office in Denver, Colorado to handle demand.
As it enters its second decade of business, it continues to develop equipment designed exclusively for downhill, free-ride, enduro and trail riding. The current range of products features jackets, jerseys, shorts/pants, gloves, base layers. socks and headwear, and there are also ‘full-feature’ women and youth-specific collections. Gear sets are also popular, combining jersey or jacket with shorts in one package.
Royal Racing’s test team includes pros Steve Peat, Garett Buehler and Neil Donoghue, plus the Trek World Racing squad, made up of George Brannigan, Neko Mulally, Greg Williamson, and World Cup race winner Brook MacDonald. Other riders to use Royal Racing products include ‘Mr Enduro’ himself Mark Weir, New Zealand DH champion Justin Leov, and up-and-coming freeride star James Doerfling.
Royal Racing is also one of the main sponsors of One Star Racing, a development team for gravity riders in the Colorado Springs area. Relaunched in 2012 to include dedicated staff for coaching and management, One Star Racing currently features Cody Smith, Jake Logan, Mitchell Blain, Joe Barry among others.
