Fabien Barel kept the wraps on the damper of his Strive for over a year. He even went and won the first ever Enduro World Series race on it to prove its credentials. Canyon’s unique Shapeshifter is a nice touch there’s no doubt, but first they had to get the basics right, and it’s this more than adjustable geometry that gets the bike a place in this issue. It’s a truly great all-round bike whether or not you use what is essentially the “Sport” dial or not. And look at the specification, just look at it… and the price. It is 163mm of bike at the right price that you’ll not be wanting to upgrade for a long time.
