FOX SHUTTLE PANT
I have paired these Fox shuttle pants with the Arc’teryx jacket throughout the winter both on the mountain bike and commuting twelve or so miles a day to work. A simple and understated black trouser, cut and shaped like a slightly baggy pair of jeans with simple features that make them practical on any given shitty day. If you look hard enough and if the printers have done a half decent job you will see that they look like a slightly shiny pair of cords…or ‘micro’ cords.First up, the trousers (they’re not pants, we’re in the UK here) feature an adjustable velcro tab at the bottom of each leg to taper them in tightly around the ankle. Next, they feature some ankle zippers almost up to the knee, which makes getting them over your shoes, kneepads or both, an easy task. A couple of ventilation zips adorn the inner fly to keep your undercarriage aired, should you wish, and if like me you need to carry your car or house keys around with you then there are a coupe of zippable hip pockets on either side. Taking care of things around the waist are a couple of velcro tabs which perform the same duty as a belt. Simple stuff that works.
Made from 95% polyester and 5% lycra they are stretchy enough to allow for unrestricted movement whilst on the bike and feel soft against the legs. When the conditions have been dire they have kept out the worst of the rain and dirt. Even the heavily hit bum area has been a solid barrier to the elements and they scrub up well in the washing machine too. A solid and dependable bit of cold/wet weather riding kit that I have found comfortable to wear, and they are holding up well. Recommended.
