For anyone who loves riding then Sedona is simply a paradise. From the very basics of slick rock to gritty arcs and dips amongst the low lying scrub, to the more exposed hangover rides which bleed into majestic outlook points with only but a few inches to hold rubber to cliff face. Peppered with short tech trials sections with technical and often vertical drops the area poses a suitably awe–inspiring challenge. Singletrack rides can last all day, never once covering the same ground twice. Pretty much one of the best places I have ever ridden trail bikes.
Direct flights to Phoenix start at around £500 with British Airways, United and many others. A stop–over in New York makes the trip a bit easier, and you’ll be guaranteed to ride some of the most epic trails ever.
We stayed in the Red Agave Resort Chalets www.redagaveresort.com, and got guide help from www.bike-bean.com, with stunning Margaritas by Kelley Richardson and Mike Ferrentino…and bikes by www.santacruzbikes.com of course.
