White seems to be the must have colour at the moment and Ison Distribution reckon they could now kit you out with an entirely white bike if you wanted, even down to the tyres in some cases! You’ll probably just buy the 38mm stem for the colour, but the butted Cr-mo bars (which are also available in black) rival many aluminium ones for weight, and I know which I’d trust more. Both are only available in a 22.2 mm BMX size clamp, but the bars do come with shims for a 25.4 mm stem.

We’ll never complain about some new bargain grips, and that’s exactly what these are. At 15.5 cm wide the lock-on style ones are super wide, so if you run your brake levers out wide I’d forget them, but I reckon they’re perfect, nice and slim, and the pattern is both comfy and gripy. Colours are as you see them.

Take one legendary frame builder and a new style of hardtail riding, and this is what you get, an exquisitely made custom ‘super-duty’ 853 frame. It’s designed with a 100 mm travel fork in mind, but it’ll happily run with something a bit longer. If you want a do it all hardtail that’s just that little bit different, surely this must be the one.
