SHIMANO CENTRE LOCK 6 BOLT ADAPTOR

Want to run 6 bolt disc rotors on a Shimano Centre Lock hub? Well, now you can finally add Shimano themselves to the list of people who make such an adaptor.

IMPERIAL DISC ROTORS AND PADS

Imperial are new to these shores, they’ve got a simple aim, to produce quality components at a price you wouldn’t normally expect. These brake pads and wavy rotors seem like just the ticket, there’s nothing particularly special to write home about, but they do the job admirably without emptying your wallet. We hope they make some more equally ‘bargain’ products in the near future.

MRP SB–3 CHAINGUIDE AND PARTY CRASHER BASH RING

Two new products from MRP, one is a more affordable version of the ever faithful System 3, and the other a super thick full-polycarbonate bash ring. You can buy either separately, but seeing as this looks like it’s going to be one of the best value set-ups you can lay your hands on, you might as well buy them together.

NOKIAN SHUTTLE TYRES

A new DH/FR tyre, as yet only available in a 2.5” size, but it features Nokian’s new slow rebound 40a sticky rubber. As we’ve come to expect with tyre compounds though, this one feels nothing like a Maxxis 40a, the tread is much stiffer, maybe it’s got something to do with the fact that it’s ‘non-toxic’ rubber? We’ll see how these fair…

GUSSET SLIM JIM MAGNESIUM PEDALS

These are a lightweight version of the popular Slim Jim pedal, and as the name suggests they’re suitably low-profile. The Cro-mo axles are plenty strong enough, and the quality sealed bearing and DU bush should mean it’s a fair old while before these start to rattle. All the pins are replaceable, but the winning factor could well be the price.
