So next weekend is going to be a pretty busy one, we’ve got the Enduro World Series in Colorado and also the Downhill World cup in Vallnord, you can check out our Vallnord World Cup Preview here. So you’ll need to play your A game, if you’re going to be following both events. Here’s a look at all things Colora-EWS….

This weekend at the Colorado Freeride Festival sees a three day schedule with racing starting on Friday and finishing on Sunday. Another new format to challenge the riders and we don’t know who is going to take top honours on the high altitude trails of Winter Park. It’s going to be another exciting weekend of racing!
The current standings of the series are:
Men’s
1. Jerome Clementz – 1340
2. Nicolas Vouilloz – 1226
3. Jared Graves – 1180
4. Remy Absalon – 900
5. Fabien Barel – 832
After each round the men’s results have been swapping around like there is no tomorrow. Jerome is currently leading the series by a pretty small margin, which could have been much greater if he hadn’t punctured at Val d’Allos. What makes this race series so exciting and interesting, is that every round has its own format of racing and everything is completely different, so this next round at Colorado could be still be anyone’s race.
Women’s
1. Tracy Moseley – 1800
2. Cecile Ravanel – 1420
3. Ines Thoma – 960
4. Emmeline Ragot – 920
5. Anneke Beerten – 880
Tracy seems to have this series all sown up she’s won every round so far; we have to ask ourselves is this because the events have just suited her? But so far we’ve had such a variety of event formats, is Tracy able to adapt to each race format that much quicker than anyone else? Or is she just that much faster than everyone else? We look forward to seeing how she copes with yet another race format out in Colorado next weekend.

7pm: Mandatory rider’s meeting in enduro check-in area.
Friday, July 26:
10am: Stage 1
Noon: Stage 2
5pm: Specialized Enduro Stages 1 and 2 award ceremony.
Saturday, July 27
9am: Stage 3 immediately followed by stage 4
5pm: Rider’s meeting to discuss the finale format
Awards: Following Slopestyle Finals: SPECIALIZED ENDURO® Stages 3 and 4 award ceremony.
Sunday, July 28
10am: Stage 5, Specialized Enduro Finale
ATTENTION: There is no pre-race inspection for any Stage. Plan to ride all the courses prior to race day.
