Lapierre Gravity Republic | Windham World Cup 2014

The team are back to their winning ways in Windham, Mont Sainte Anne was good to the team and they landed some decent results at the penultimate race of the 2014 season too. Sam Blenkinsop described the track as fast and loose with the rest of the team seemingly enjoying the flat out if short track.

Josh is a crazy guy and he is fast so you just have to be crazy on this track – Loic

With the points tight in all categories the Lapierre Gravity Republic guys and girl were all holding it wide all weekend, it was bad luck for Loic Bruni though who flatted in his run ending up in 80th. Before the race he said that you had to be crazy on this track and mentioned that Josh is a crazy guy and he is fast so you just have to be crazy on this track.

In the Juniors Loris was loving the corners and big jumps on this track and although he admitted to casing a few landings held on for third place. The race for the overall is going to come down to the last race next weekend in Meribel and with the home advantage Loris could be set for a good result. Blenki landed his first back to back podiums with 4th place in Windham oen up on his 5th the weekend before in Mont Sainte Anne. His plan of having more flow and fun without making too many mistakes seems to have worked out!

Top spot for the day went to Emmeline Ragot who stormed to a win in the Women’s race by 2.868s over Rachel Atherton, a massive gap on such a short track. With all those results plus the ones from MSA slotting into place the Lapierre Team took the lead in the team race too so not a bad weekend in the end!
