Alex Boyce has just posted up this video of ‘the longest stage ever in an Enduro World Series race’ – Stage 1 of the EWS that is taking place right now over in La Thuile, Italy.
Check it out! Looks bonkers good and even if the weather’s been a tad changeable in the Alps this week we wouldn’t mind being there right now.
It’s so long it starts right up in the clouds, on pretty wide open trails in places – plenty of sprinting to get off to a good start. The scenery as it gets to the middle is amazing – proper Alps scenery with some good looking tracks. A bit of boggy trail, a quick over-the-bars on camera, then back up and carry on. Anyone who says Enduro is an old man’s sport – imagine the fitness you need to sprint this whole thing. Whatever the length though, it all looks like a hugs amount of fun.
Stage 1 is done and dusted and most folk have finished Stage 2. You can follow the live results here.
STAGE 1 LEADERS:
With any luck our man on the ground, photographer/pikey Ben Winder, will locate his van key and get to the mountain to start reeling off his photo galleries very soon… Stay tuned.
