The first day of racing is done for the EWS Colorado and after starting in the sunshine the heavens opened on stage 2 and the hail made things interesting for the men still out on the course.
Anneke Beerten took her first EWS stage win with the top spot on the first stage in Colorado. Tracy Moseley hasn’t shown the same domination as previous races but she’s still in the top three mix. After two stages Anne-Caroline Chausson leads with Moseley in second and Anneke Beerten in 3rd.
The boys from Yeti have been taking the brand’s local trails in their stride. Jared Graves and Richie Rude have been flat out today and with the arrival of late hail Rude took both stage wins. Rude might be a downhill racer but could he pull something out of the bag for this Enduro race? Graves will no doubt be pushing to get the seconds back on him tomorrow.
Justin Leov, Joe Barnes and Yoann Barelli are all in the mix at the top too and could well be in with a chance as there is a lot of racing left this weekend. If you want to check out our preview of the race then hit the link below.
