Rachel Atherton wins women’s World Championships

The golden run continues

Rachel Atherton has defended her rainbow stripes to claim her fifth World Championship title.

Rachel was last down the hill in Val di Sole and beat out Myriam Nicole’s hotseat time by more than three seconds. Her race run was four thousandths off her time yesterday in seeding, how’s that for consistency? Third place went to Tracey Hannah with Marine Caribou in fourth and Tahnee Seagrave in fifth.

Healing vibes go out to Manon Carpenter who suffered a massive crash in the holes of the first corner and looks to have broken her collarbone.
