Who is going where in 2016

You know, we get confused at this time of the year about who is riding for which team with all these moves and changes that are taking place. So we’ve had a quick look at last year’s top men’s downhill top 20 (women to follow) just to try and clear things up for everyone. This is not meant to be an in-depth look at the top 20, more of a reminder of what everyone is up to team wise. Of course the thing that everyone wants to know is where current World Cup Champion Aaron Gwin will be going?

2. Loic Bruni moves from Lapierre to Specialized Gravity Team.
3. Troy Brosnan stays with Specialized Factory Racing.
4. Greg Minnaar stays with Santa Cruz Syndicate.
5. Josh Bryceland stays with Santa Cruz Syndicate.
6. Gee Atherton moves from GT to Trek.
7. Danny Hart stays with Mondraker.
8. Marcelo Gutierrez stays with Giant.
9. Sam Blenkinsop stays with Norco.
10. Brook Macdonald moves from Trek to GT.
11. Brendan Fairclough signs a three year deal and stays with Scott Gstaad.
12. Dean Lucas stays with Devinci.
13. Connor Fearon stays with Kona.
14. Mark Wallace stays with Devinci.
15. Bernard Kerr stays with Pivot (TBC).
16. Matt Simmonds stays with Saracen.
17. Remi Thirion stays with Commencal.
18. Luca Shaw stays with SRAM.
19. Loris Vergier moves from Lapierre to Specialized Gravity Team.
20. Harry Heath stays with Norco.

And the best of the rest? Well it appears that everything stays the same for Steve Smith (21st) with Devinci, Mike Jones (22nd) and Sam Hill (75th) with Chain Reaction PayPal, but there is a move for Same Dale (23rd) from Madison Saracen to GT.

Laurie Greenland will be racing for Mondraker.

And of course lets not forget Junior World Cup Champion and Junior World Champion Laurie Greenland who is racing for Mondraker in 2016.

World Cup round 1 kicks off on the weekend of April 9/10 in Lourdes, France.
